In case you did not know, some products should not be kept in the fridge, but in a room temperature.
Chilly sauces
Believe it or not, chilly sauces can be kept in room temperature up to three years.
Potato
Low temperatures negatively affect the potatoes’ taste, so keep them the larder, in paper bags. The plastic bags are not good since they maintain the moisture which makes the potatoes to go bad.
Bread
Bread in the fridge dries fast. Keep what you plan to eat in four days and put the rest in the freezer.
Onion
It should be kept in onion mesh bags or something similar which will enable a circulation of the air, in room temperature. But, keep the onions away from potatoes which release moisture and can cause the onion to rot.
Garlic
Garlic can last up to two months if you keep it the larder. It should be kept in something that enables a flow of the air.
Tomatoes
They can whiten if they are kept in the fridge, therefore you should keep them in a room temperature and not in plastic bags. In order to speed up the ripeness, if needed, you should keep them in a paper bag. Ripe, they can last up to three days.
Coffee
The fridge creates condensation which can affect the taste of the ground coffee and coffee beans. It is recommended that the coffee is kept in a hermetically closed container in a room temperature.
